Collaboration with National Anti-Doping Organisations (NADO)
Anti-Doping Norway believes there is significant reciprocal benefit to draw out of cooperation with other national anti-doping organisations.
Well-established anti-doping organisations have a duty to contribute to the further development of quality anti-doping programs throughout the world. The main purpose is to develop and strengthen anti-doping programs in compliance with the Code. When relevant, WADA has also been part of the agreement, playing an important role in monitoring the project.
Based on a strong partnership between Anti-Doping Norway and China Anti-Doping Agency (CHINADA) that goes back to the 1980s, Anti-Doping Norway was very pleased to renew the bilateral agreement with CHINADA in May 2017, with the purpose to exchange knowledge and experience within all aspects of an anti-doping program, also in view of the upcoming 2022 Winter Olympic Games that will be hosted by China.
ADNO has a trilateral agreement with the Anti-Doping Agency of Kenya (ADAK) and WADA for the period 2017-2019. The purpose of the collaboration is to assist ADAK in the development of their anti-doping program. ADNO and ADAK have project meetings in average twice a year, in addition to workshops whenever needed.
In 2018, ADNO and the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) signed a bilateral agreement with the purpose to exchange knowledge and experience of best practices in order to strengthen respective anti-doping programs.
ADNO has signed a reciprocal testing agreement with the purpose to facilitate the planning and implementation of doping controls across borders:
- South Africa
- New Zealand
